about
This piece was originally created in 1980 while I was enrolled in the sound engineering program at Golden West College, CA. It was a project for a synthesizer class where I got to use a Moog synth for the first (and only, so far) time. I believe there are 3 synth tracks, including the beat; I overlaid a recording of Hitler and another of George Bush and some random warmongers at the time of the Iranian hostage crisis.
It was originally recorded to 4-track reel-to-reel tape. For this release, I digitized the audio tracks and added some equalization and delay using Logic.
Straddling the threshold between studio performance and digital technique; the NYC artist applies "fake jazz" principles to synthpop. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2024
